Nathan accepted by NJC!!

It's been a great weekend!! of the many good things that happened, we received a confirmation from NJC that Nathan has been accepted by NJC through DSA, PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Frankly, people asked what did Nathan get into NJC? Did he get NSW high distinctions, Math Olympiad medals, plays tennis with his left hand or swim with his feet tied up? The truth is that he has none of these qualifications nor talents. This to me, was a miracle and indeed God's way of "sayang" his beloved.

Thank the Lord, he's been really good!!!

You are what you think

I was just having tea with an old friend and he made this comment that people think bad things about themselves all the time. It gets me pondering about that for a little while...

In my line of work, people often think of the "worst case scenario". It must be a job hazard because after awhile, everyone thinks the worst all the time - to the work, to their job, to their family, to their life.

I'm sure this is also true for most people - you think of what if I lose my job tomorrow, what if I get the H1N1 virus, what if the kids don't grow up well. The fact of the matter is that by thinking negatively about these things, it won't help in the situation but instead weighs you down further.

I'll leave that thought with you and share with you this verse from Philippians:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

The NIV version says "if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things".
